--> Himura Kenshin is a very kind and gentle swordsman. back durring time, durring the revolution kenshin was know as the Batoussai, the man slayer. The word Battousai means that he has perfected every single technique. He fought side with the Meji Goverment. He slaughtered thousand of poeple and feared by all.He was known to be the best swordsmen ever to live. After the revolution he has swore never to kill again. as a repent for his killings. He now live's with Kaoru in the dojo where he mets new friends and help protect the weak and innocent. Kenshin at the end develpos feeling for Kaoru He protects her from harm.

-->Kaoru Kamiya Assistant Master of the Kaiya Dojo and is alwyas worried about other people, thats how she met Yahiko. She is very kind and a careing person, she tries to help anybody who she see's in trouble or who just needs a litle inspiration. Kaoru has become like a sister to Sanosuke especially Yahiko. She houses them in the dojo and provides them with food. kaoru is also known for her firey personality. Kaoru cares for everyone but cant seem t express her feeling for Kenshin.

-->Sanoauke Sagara Once was a part of a group called the "Sekihou Tai" but at that time he was only 9 years old. The mark on his shirt it means "bad". during the revolution Sano name was " Zanza" a Fighter for Hier.During the sekihou tai sano looked up to his leader Captain Sagara, sano was very loyal to his leader even at a very young age He was loyal to his leader and the group even until they were framed by the Meiji goverment and was terminated as in killed. the Meiji goverment took captain sagara's head and showed it to the people as if it was a trophy, Sano was also there when they showed off their captain's head and could't bear it. Sano fights because he said that when fighting he forgets about captain sagara but ever since he met kenshin things changed it made life better for him.

-->Yahiko Myojin, Yahiko's parents died, His mother died because she was very ill his father dies fighting in a battle or a war, so apparently yahiko is the son of a samurai. A gang of bums then take advantage of yahiko's situation and lies that he has to pay the Yakuza for caring for his mother while he was very young. Yahiko is taught to be a pick-pocket until he pays the dept. Yahiko then runs into kenshin and kaoru in attempt to steal kenshin's money.adopted by kaoru Yahiko now trains under Miss Kaoru in learning the Kamiya Kasshin Style. A style that protects people and the people he care's about.

-->Aoshi Shinomori, used to be the leader of the Oniwabanshu until the massacre at Kanryu's place. It was not a fair fight and all four men died protecting their leader from the killer bullets. Aoshi got out alive, never getting over his friends' deaths, looking for revenge. He thinks that if he can beat Kenshin, he'll prove he is the strongest and in that way restore the honor of the Oniwabanshu, making his friends proud of him. A strange vision, that drove him to madness when it comes to defeating Kenshin. When he doesn't succeed in finding Kenshin, he eventually agrees with Shishio to wait for Kenshin in his lair, luring Kenshin to Shishio. After losing to Kenshin, Aoshi withdraws himself to a temple near Ayoia.

-->Megumi Takani, A talented doctor, Megumi enters the story when she begs Kenshin for help. She was an apprentice of another doctor, who made Opium for a guy named Takeda Kanryuu. When he died, Megumi became the only person who could make the opium. She escaped, finding Kenshin and Sanosuke as saviors. She ends up going back to the mansion once more, the crew storming in and taking names, opponants being the Oniwa Banshu. They end up saving Megumi. She went back to Tokyo with them and became a local doctor. She believes that she should try hard to save people, to make up for the lives she cost by making opium.
